Workplace Design for Mental Well-Being
More and more people around the world deal with mental health related disorders. Millennials (who will constitute 75% of the workforce by 2025 (Deloitte) are an example of a challenged generation. Neuro-divergent persons are said to constitute up to 20% of us. And loneliness is spreading in all ages and across all layers of society.
How will the on-going office transformation and hybrid work life affect this implicit fragility related to lack of mental well-being. We risk a large group turning away from the office, especially if they find no psychological safety and no relationships there, no one to learn from, no flexibility and no meaning.
How can we support them – and everybody else – and use workplace design to make the office a centre of meaningful activities in human-centric facilities, to build social capital, resilience and sense of belonging
